One Health is a collaborative approach that recognizes the interconnection between human health, animal health, and the environment. It emphasizes that the health of people is closely linked to the health of animals and our shared environment. By working across sectors — such as medicine, veterinary science, environmental science, and public health — One Health aims to prevent and solve health issues more effectively, especially those like zoonotic diseases, human animal conflict and food safety.

Training programs and workshops

Lab Animal Welfare

Laboratory animal welfare training is essential for ensuring the ethical and humane treatment of animals used in scientific research and education. Proper training equips researchers, technicians, and animal care staff with the knowledge and skills needed to uphold high standards of animal care, in compliance with regulatory and institutional guidelines. By fostering a culture of compassion, responsibility, and scientific integrity, laboratory animal welfare training not only safeguards animal well-being but also enhances the quality and reliability of research outcomes.

One health related legislations

This workshop will bring together professionals from the fields of human health, veterinary medicine, environmental science, and law to strengthen understanding of the legal frameworks supporting the One Health approach. The program highlighted the importance of integrated legislation and policies in addressing zoonotic diseases, antimicrobial resistance, food safety, and environmental protection.

ONE health caregiver training

This training aims to build awareness and skills among animal and human caregivers on the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. Participants learn practical approaches to disease prevention, safe animal handling, waste management, and community health promotion. The training encourages collaboration between healthcare and veterinary assistants, fostering a holistic approach to wellbeing that benefits both people and animals while protecting the environment.
